This September, 17 members of the Storii team gathered just outside Barcelona, Spain, for our annual team retreat. It was our biggest retreat yet—nearly double the size of last year’s! We spent the week together in a stunning villa in Sant Vicenç de Montalt, overlooking the Mediterranean and surrounded by beautiful hills.
A Week of Team Bonding
The retreat was the perfect blend of work and play. We kicked things off with a casual happy hour, which included “speed dating” to ensure everyone got the chance to talk to one another. Then, we had a welcome dinner at the villa to reconnect with familiar faces and meet new ones, joining in person for the first time. Laughter, stories, and plenty of tapas set the tone for the week ahead.

Creative Collaboration
Our time together included brainstorming sessions, team whiteboard discussions, and all-hands meetings to reflect on the year’s progress and share ideas for what’s ahead. These sessions were filled with insight, inspiration, and a shared sense of purpose for how Storii continues to grow and make an impact. Team members were also able to snag plenty of Storii swag! The orange sunglasses were a hit.

Exploring Barcelona
Of course, it wasn’t all work! We explored some of Barcelona’s most iconic landmarks, including the breathtaking Sagrada Família and Casa Batlló. A guided food tour through the city gave us a taste of local life—complete with tapas, drinks, and churros. Finally, we enjoyed a rooftop concert where we danced and sang late into the night.

Free Time
One of the highlights of the retreat was our free day—a chance for everyone to unwind and spend time however they wished. We felt it was important to give the team space to connect in a more casual way, get to know each other outside of meetings, and simply enjoy the surroundings. Some team members ventured back into the city to explore more of Barcelona’s sights and neighborhoods, while others headed down to the beach to soak up the sun and swim. A few opted for scenic hikes in the hills near our villa, taking in the peaceful views. It was a day of rest, laughter, and spontaneous adventures—just what we needed to recharge and appreciate the experience together.

Celebrating Our Team
The week wrapped up with a farewell dinner back at the villa—a celebration of Arturas & Vitalij’s 10-year work anniversary and Vitalij’s birthday. Some team members dipped in the pool one last time, and others played games or chatted late into the night. It was clear how much our connection as a team has strengthened during our week together.

Looking Ahead
Retreats like this remind us that Storii is more than just a company - we’re a community of passionate people dedicated to supporting care services. We returned home recharged, inspired, and ready to keep building tools that make a difference in people’s lives.
Until next time, ¡gràcies, Barcelona! 🇪🇸
