Quick Navigation

StoriiCare is constantly working towards powerful new features and product improvements. Here’s a brief overview of our latest updates:

Quick-Look Highlights

  • eMAR Feature Release (Beta)
  • Medication Inventory Management
  • 835 ERA File Upload for Claims Reconciliation + Auto Reconciling for Claims
  • Sort Participants by Room Number
  • MatrixCare Integration

Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR)

We're excited to introduce StoriiCare’s eMAR (Electronic Medication Administration Record) Beta. This feature is currently accessible from participant profiles. eMAR allows care staff to digitally document medication administration directly within StoriiCare - replacing the need to print off paper-based MAR sheets and reducing the risk of medication errors.

📋 The eMAR is currently available in beta. Please note that we are gathering feedback and making incremental improvements to this functionality.

Users will notice a new and improved view when adding medications to participant profiles (via Medical Info). Upon saving, new medications will automatically generate eMAR tasks for clinical staff to complete. Existing medications can be easily transferred to eMAR tasks.

From the eMAR feature, care teams can record medication administration events in real time. eMAR works similarly to StoriiCare's Tasks feature. When a medication task is completed, the administering staff member's initials will appear on the MAR PDF, enabling pre-filled MAR PDF exports.

Medication Inventory Management

Alongside eMAR, we've introduced Inventory. Inventory can be accessed from the Actions menu on eMAR and Medication. This feature gives your team visibility into medication stock levels directly within StoriiCare. It helps prevent situations where a participant's medication runs out unexpectedly, and keeps your records audit-ready.

Setting up inventory is optional but recommended for accurate record-keeping of Medication.

When Inventory is populated for a Medication, staff completing an eMAR task will be prompted to select the relevant inventory batch and enter the number of doses consumed. The screen will display the Current total doses and New total doses before the staff member submits, ensuring full visibility.

Manual 835 ERA File Uploads + Auto Reconciling for Claims

Managing billing and remittance has just become a lot easier. StoriiCare now supports the uploading of 835 Electronic Remittance Advice (ERA) files, allowing your billing team to reconcile insurance payments directly within the platform. If you are using our connected clearinghouse partner Stedi, no manual upload is required - claims will be auto-reconciled via our API connection!

An 835 file is the standard electronic format used by payers (insurance companies and Medicare/Medicaid programs) to communicate claim payment details and adjustments.

Uploading these files into StoriiCare lets you:

  • Match payments received against submitted claims automatically
  • Identify denied, adjusted, or partially paid claims at a glance
  • Reduce manual data entry and reconciliation errors
  • Maintain a clear payment history for audit and reporting purposes

To upload an 835 file:

  • Navigate to the Billing section
  • Click on the Payments tab
  • Click the Upload 835 ERA button

Once uploaded, associated invoices will automatically be marked as Paid.

Sort Participants/Residents by Room Number

For Residential care providers, we've added a much-requested sorting option on the resident’s page: you can now sort your list by Room Number, either ascending or descending.

This makes it much easier to organize your view around the physical layout of your facility — particularly useful when conducting medication rounds, care checks, or any workflow that follows a floor-by-floor or room-by-room sequence.

Room numbers are managed within each resident’s profile. If you haven't yet assigned room numbers to your residents, you can do so by editing their Face Sheet details. Additionally, from Business Settings, organizations can toggle on “Show room after name” to display the room number alongside the resident’s name on StoriiCare.

MatrixCare Integration

StoriiCare now integrates directly with MatrixCare - one of the leading residential care management platforms.

This integration enables a seamless flow of participant and clinical data between MatrixCare and StoriiCare, reducing duplicate data entry and keeping both systems in sync. For organizations already using MatrixCare, this means your team can continue working in their familiar environment while taking advantage of StoriiCare's billing, engagement, activity, and family communication tools.

What the integration supports:

  • Participant demographic data sync between platforms
  • Reduction in manual data re-entry across systems
  • A connected care record that spans clinical and daily living documentation
  • Streamlined onboarding for new participants already in MatrixCare

To get started with the MatrixCare integration, please contact our support team or your dedicated account manager. Our team will guide you through the setup and configuration process.
