As we begin another month full of progress with StoriiCare, we're excited to share with you the latest enhancements designed to streamline your operations and enrich your experience. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s new:

Payment Processing Fees Assignment: We’ve enabled the passing over of billing fees directly to your clients, ensuring providers receive the exact amount you enter for an invoice. 

Improved Payment Processing Rates: We’ve been working hard to reduce payment processing fees, and we’re delighted to share our new US rates as of March 1st, 2024. 

Enhanced Task Management: Introducing the ability to add services to tasks, coupled with a Flat Fee option, for greater flexibility and simplicity in billing.

Payment Processing Expanded: Embrace the future with Apple Pay and Google Pay, making transactions smoother and more accessible than ever before.

➡ Email Support Update

To streamline our communications and ensure that you receive the quickest and most efficient support possible, we are transitioning to a shared support email account. Effective immediately, we kindly ask clients that when contacting us via email, you direct all your questions and concerns to our new support email: support@storii.com. Our live chat support functionality remains the same, and we still recommend live chat as your priority support method to get the fastest response.

Why the change?

  • Faster Email Responses: This centralized approach allows us to respond to your inquiries more swiftly.
  • Team Visibility: It ensures that our entire customer success team has visibility into each email inquiry. This means that nothing gets missed and we can collaborate more efficiently to problem-solve.
  • Enhanced Clarity: Now you have one dedicated email to reach us rather than having to email different members of the customer success team individually. Ultimately, this leads to better service for you and more efficiency for us!

We understand that you may have been accustomed to reaching out to specific support representatives. We want to assure you that our dedicated team will continue to provide the personalized and attentive service you've come to expect, but now with the added benefit of a collaborative team effort behind every inquiry. ➡ Payment Processing Fee Choice

StoriiCare now allows for a choice in who pays payment processing fees.

We now offer three possibilities. Payment processing fees can be covered by providers, by your clients or you can give your clients the option to cover fees. By enabling a direct pass-through of fees, we empower providers to maintain clarity in their billing processes, ensuring they and their clients understand exactly what they're being charged for. Any processing fees paid by your clients will be displayed on their invoices for transparency.

➡ Payment Processing Rates Update

We're committed to providing value to our partners with a competitive Payment Rates update. This month, we've been able to update our payment processing rates in the US & Canada. Credit card transactions are now set at an industry-competitive rate of 2.99% + $0.30 per transaction, while Bank (ACH) transactions receive a rate of 1% with a $15 cap per transaction.

These rates are designed to ensure that you have access to great payment processing services with the best conditions. We understand that payment processing rates are crucial for the financial health of your operations and are always assessing what improvements can be applied.

➡ Flat Fee Services 

Flat Fee Option and Services Integration with Tasks

After listening closely to your feedback, we're excited to announce that it is now possible to add Flat Fees to your services and Billing Plan configurations on StoriiCare. Flat fees act as fixed charges based on configurable units, ideal for charging for meals or amenities. This new functionality is coupled with the capability to directly add Flat Fee services to tasks. This configuration enables businesses to add charges for tasks performed and automatically include them on the invoices.

Key Use Cases of the Flat Fees:

Flat fees in StoriiCare offer a streamlined approach to billing, ideal for services with base or fixed charges. This new functionality simplifies the financial planning and invoicing process for both providers and clients by setting a consistent rate for specific services or tasks. For instance, a care facility might use flat fees for routine wellness programs, therapy sessions, or any service where the scope and cost are consistent and not charged on an hourly basis. 

This predictability aids in budgeting and financial management, making it easier for clients to understand their charges and for providers to forecast their revenue and generate invoices - StoriiCare will automatically add the Flat Fee charges to your invoices if your Billing Plans are configured to do so.

The Flat Fees option is a powerful feature that will ease the process of billing participants and charging for the services provided. Moreover, this option can be linked to Attendance, Schedule, Transportation, and Tasks, offering a range of robust possibilities to configure the business billing structure within StoriiCare - A few further examples that may assist your business are listed below:

  • Routine Wellness Programs - a consistent charge for regular wellness checks or therapy sessions, simplifying budgeting for clients.
  • Monthly Subscriptions for Activities - configures a flat fee for access to monthly programs like fitness classes, art therapy, or social events, enhancing engagement without complicating costs.
  • Comprehensive Care Packages -  bundles various care services (e.g. medication management, daily meals and housekeeping) into one flat rate, offering a holistic approach to care with straightforward pricing.
  • Transportation Services - charges a flat rate for transportation to appointments or group outings, removing variable costs and easing planning for both clients and providers.

Flat Fees and Tasks:

Care providers can now assign a flat rate to tasks created under the ‘Task’ Feature. For instance, weekly meal planning, transportation, or group activities can be scheduled using Tasks and the completed assignments shall be added to the participants' invoices automatically following the billing rules and structure created. This ensures that billing for these tasks is straightforward and transparent. 

This feature update, by offering simplicity and predictability, not only enhances the billing efficiency of care providers but also significantly impacts the client experience by providing clear, understandable billing practices. ➡ Payment Reconciliation

We’re always looking into ways to refine billing within StoriiCare. You are now able to reconcile payments on StoriiCare by allocating the surplus amounts remitted by payers towards outstanding invoices. By clicking on the ellipsis icon under the Invoice view, staff members can “Reconcile Payment” and apply the available amount to an open invoice.

StoriiCare now also offers the capability to meticulously review each payer's account within the 'Payers' tab, providing detailed insights into the outstanding balance and any available credit for each respective payer. This enhancement allows for a more comprehensive assessment of billing status on a per-payer basis.

Expanding Payment Processing: Welcome Apple Pay and Google Pay!

To ensure your invoice processes are accessible to everyone, we've expanded our payment processing methods to include Apple Pay and Google Pay. This expansion not only aligns with the growing trend toward digital wallet usage but also provides your clients with a fast, secure, and convenient way to complete payments. By embracing these popular payment methods, StoriiCare positions your facility at the forefront of technological adoption.

➡ Smaller Key Updates

Alongside these updates, we've implemented a series of smaller enhancements to improve our platform's overall user experience, demonstrating our commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Services Aggregation Rules on Billing Plans: You can now configure the Services Aggregation Rules for each Billing Plan, enabling Invoices to be itemized by day, week, or more. This is particularly useful for providers who want to show each day a client attended their business within an Invoice. 
  • Billing Filters: Filter and search bars are now available within the Billing feature.. Quickly locate specific invoices or billing items based on various criteria, ensuring a smoother billing process and saving valuable administrative time.
  • Email the invoice to multiple email addresses: Simplify your billing process by emailing invoices to multiple recipients simultaneously. This feature ensures that all relevant parties, including family members and financial caretakers, stay informed about billing matters, enhancing transparency. The option to add ‘cc’ email addresses will show within the ‘Email Invoice’ view.
  • Pre-populate Payer information from Contacts: Streamline the invoicing process with the ability to pre-populate payer information directly from your stored contacts. This feature minimizes manual data entry and reduces the risk of errors.
